Maybe the repops are better but the originals were problematic. Prone to leaking from what I've heard.
The 4 piston calipers share the design with Corvette calipers and have the seal on the housing instead of the piston. The cure is to have SS bores and pistons that the Corvette guys have been using for years. The Firebird and Camaro calipers are smaller than the Vette ones, but share the same basic design. You can get SS lined calipers for the F-bodies pretty easily.
