My workshop situation has improved to the point where I can begin working on my 68. Stripping out the carpeting, I realize I need a full floor replacement, but I'm noticing a few disturbing signs that lead me to believe this car was in an accident. Does the floor normally have such an arc to it? Notice the crease in the middle of the tunnel and the wrinkles in the back. Finally, the front, which is more in the firewall than the floor: I am trying to measure the body mount holes to see if the entire car is tweaked, but I do not have it up on jackstands yet. Visually, the panels and doors all seem to fit fine, but this car has been restored before. Any thoughts concerning accident damage and difficulties installing a new floor?
