Fold down seat was an option in '67. I took one out of a coupe and installed it in my convertible. It worked fine except the top of the back seat was higher the the top of the top well. You will not get access to the trunk by having one. Interesting option..I used it once..just to say "look a fold down seat." '67 and '68 seat latches are different..'67 has clips that hold the seat up...'68 uses a latch. I ended up installing the original back and cutting holes in the steel plate. I put a ported box w/12" fosgates in the trunk, 4x6's with repro grills in the kick panels. Lots of base got through..even with the top down.
