I chased gremlins for over a year before I replaced it all with M&H harnesses. Could have saved a bunch of frustration and time. Decide before you order if you are going to go to HEI, one wire alternator, mini starter etc and order the new harnesses with those options already incorporated. It will end up being a lot cleaner install without adaptors.
