The car had been sitting for some time before I was able to get back to work on it. I did a rearend swap, and while I was at it, I removed a leaf (it was a 5 leaf, too stiff, and sat too high.) Now when I go over bumps, I sound like I"m in an Amish big block buggy. The springs sound awful. Don't know if it's something I did, or because it was sitting for so long.
Here's what I did. Removed the front bracket (to drop the spring out of the way for the rear swap). Pulled the spring pack bolt. Removed the bottom leaf. Reassembled. I also had started to unbolt the rear eyelet, but due to access getting the bolt out, decided not too.
My question is, did I over tighten something? Not tighten it enough? Is it just because it was sitting for so long? The car is a convertible, so it's especially noticeable and annoying. Really don't want to tear everything apart again, unless I absolutely have to. I don't have much time to work on the card, and there's other areas of it I need to focus on.
