I heard from a buddy of mine that they had such an issue with these wheels that there was a factory recall? Getting them restored is pricey- I am getting quotes now, but thinking of having a buddy of mine do it. Problem is, I've heard that they crack again in a few years..

I did talk to Doug at the steering wheel guy, and he has a process he uses that supposedly greatly reduces any comebacks on the cracks. He seems pretty confident he can make it last and he is a great guy to talk to.
