My 12 D chassis built, December 31st invoiced 68 HO 7028271 carb has a baseplate of 3517. With the exception of how late year Muncie main cases are stamped...everything else is straightforward.
General rule of thumb between chassis build..drive train and invoice with regards to late calendar model year builds. 2 to 4 weeks is general rule for 68. So...with a 01 B chassis build...you could have part dates 2 to 4 weeks preceeding chassis build. Exceptions are Ram Air specific heads (#31) ram air specific carbs and long branch manifolds
