I just got of the phone with American modern Insurance Group and whoever researches the Vin is not decoding the VIN correctly. Been going round and round which they are saying my car is modified because according to "VINWiz.com" my car shows the series ( 2 and 3rd number of the Vin) as a Firebird L6. The website is coded to provide vins info 65-71. So I tell them under the decoded vin chart is states: 65-71 Pontiac: Serial # starting with 1,2,5 are V8 65-71 Pontiac: Serial # starting with 6,7,8 are L6
I tell them whoever coded the VINWIZ website did it incorrectly. I was getting pretty hot under the collar need less to say. She finally pushed it through but why would a insurance depend on a website as verification when it could have a mistake.
