FYI: The original details did point to it not be a numbers matching car. The TH350 trannys were not installed in Firebirds before 1969. The '68 350 Firebirds came from the factory with 2-speed Super Turbine 300's
Oh. I didn't realize that. I asked a buddy that works at a tranny shop and told me TH350 or 400 were the two options. I didn't consult my book, but will look for that next time and the rear end ratios. So much to look at. I suppose if I want a great driver that is not original, I'll have to inquire what were some of the best modifications.
