So this guy spent a lot of time and money on his Firebird. Common for all labors of love restorations. But hoping to recoup it...is the first thing you learn that you can't. (I am afraid to total up what I spent in the past for a classic car I still own). But this asking price is absurd. I inquired to this group a while ago about pricing for a decent base V8 and got replies ranging from $18k-$28K based on condition. I see this very often during my search. Inflated prices. The car I really want is still for sale at $38K. I may have to fly out in person to be taken seriously when negotiating a fair price - quite a gamble.
