The rubber flange goes towards the motor and separates the rad flange from the core support.
I am still confused as to how it is attached. So which way do I feed the bolt in? It seems on my car that the plugs were fubared long ago since there are nuts on the outside with washers that all sort of crush everything together. Is there a picture somewhere that shows how they are inserted and bolted down?
