I had to pull my turbo 400 out about two weeks ago. All of my forward gears just gave out one day with no warning. I figured I could get it done in one evening. LOL I only have one good arm right now so that did not help. (Major rotator cuff surgery) On the positive side I did have a lift and transmission jack. I went to pull my crossmember. It would not come out. It was to tight to the floor. I had to loosen my sub-frame. But, to do that I had to unbolt my sub-frame connectors. Removed the crossmember. Lowered Transmission down about an inch, oil pan made contact with sub-frame right away. Unbolt one motor mount and loosen the other one. Unbolt transmission bolts, lines, linkage, speedometer, vacuum line, and pull out dip stick tube. Drain fluid as to not get a bath like mentioned above. Change over speedo gears. Install new/old transmission. Go to take pan off to change out filter and gasket. All bolts were seized. Heat all bolts to red hot and remove 9 out of the 13. Four of them broke. Drill, tap, heli coil the remaining four. Put new filter, gasket, and fluid in. 15 hours later I'm done.
