I have a '67 with new mounts and zero damage to anything. The oil pan is about 1/4" above the frame. You need to remember that Pontiac was given a car designed for a SBC and had to shoehorn the V8 into it. They had to make it close to the subframe or else the motor would hit the brake booster and wiper motor.
