2 weeks ago I finished installing the engine and transmission i built in a friend's 67 convertible. Here are the specifications. 1967 400 YT block .030 over ICON dished pistons and new forged rods Compression is 9:1 runs fine on 91 octane 670 cylinder heads with brand new stainless valves, springs, bronze guides....etc 1967 factory intake, quadrajet. Summit 2801 camshaft and USA made Johnson lifters Factory cast iron exhaust manifolds with 2 1/4" exhaust 1967 PX Turbo 400 with factory converter 3.08 rear end I have to say that the drivability with this camshaft and combination is excellent. From highway driving to stoplight to stoplight the engine ran just as smooth as any modern car and has just the right amount of get up and go. My friend was extremely happy with the drivability.
