New one on me too. A few things you might look at: Is the air cleaner stud poking a hole in the insulation or getting close enough to scratch the underside of the hood? Is there a carb spacer under the carb? A thick gasket under the air cleaner? Do you have all the clips on the underhood insulation? Was it a correct molded insulation piece or no? Are the motor mounts correct and installed properly?
