I feel like the troll sometimes but I still refuse to believe that having a WQ coded block, which would be correct to the model but not the correct EUN, would not sell for, or have more value than a car with just any 400 in it not correct to its model.
I believe Having a documented HO car is rare even without the motor. WQ blocks are also rare so having one is also an advantage. But pair the two together even without the correct EUN is going to bring a higher value!
If you built a GTO clone from a Lemans with tri power, it WILL sell for more money than just a Lemans, look on any auction site. And that is for a completely incorrect car!
I am moving forward on my plan of what I guess a purist would say is a "tribute" car. But I will be proud of my Documented 68 HO car with the correct dated and coded WQ block, correct #16 heads, correct intake, oil pan and exhaust manifolds the only difference would be the EUN and at a car show no one would ever know that didnt match only during the sale.
