It seems that the OEM latch is a little different than the original. I tried moving the latch stud in the door jam up, down and sideways. And added washers to extend stud but it still hits . Has anyone encounter this problem? Comparing the latching levers that grab the stud the spacing from the body of the latch is wider. Since this latch is for Firdbird / Camaro I was wondering if the the Camaro stud if different?
Any help would be appreciated?

Sam, Don't forget to put door latch spring on. It helps the latch work more effectively. A lot of people miss it because it's so small and typically falls out when you open up the door.
