My 2 speed needs to be pulled and gone thru. The car sat way to long and it leaks fluid everywhere when you fill it up. I thought since I had to pull it perhaps I should go for a 350 tranny. From what I read here, they are an exact swap.

The donor tranny I want to buy was taken out of a 1976 Buick Regal V-6 with 58,000 miles that was wrecked. It's been sittingin a garage since about 1990. Seller says It worked perfectly when removed, but like mibne it would need to be resealed because it's been sitting so long.

How can I be sure this tranny would fit? Maybe it won't? Would I use the same torque converter? Does anything need to be done to the t converter before I put the transmission in? Any thoughts or tips on this?
