Oh, interesting..I assumed the leather vinyl cover was correct. I was able to scrub the plastic back down and I noticed it was basically color matched to the parchment interior. I went ahead and skinned the cleaned up plastic back. I think the piece warranted it as it was scratched and slightly chalked. I went right to the plastic with the leather vinyl cover, no padding. I thought it sharpened the lines up.
On another note, I can't believe how rusted the seat frames and springs were. I saved the passenger seat, but it took hours of bending rod to reinforce what was left. I had to scrap the drivers. It was litteraly rusted through and broken in half. Springs had disintegrated into nothing. It is a lesson on why you try and keep a convertible out of the rain. The seat foam must soak water up like a kitchen sponge and never lets it leave.
