Have you thought about replacing the coils and Koni's with QA1 coil overs? They would allow you to adjust your ride height. I also put new stock size coils on my tubular A arms on my 69 and I have 17's also but my ride height sits a little high. I am going to switch over to the QA1's so I can lower the ride height on mine. My tubulars also have drop spring pocket which I thought would be ok for ride height with the stock size springs but it isn't. Here is a link to one of the QA1 coil over. You will need to select the ones that cover the weight of your front end, this link is for the 450 size https://www.summitracing.com/parts/qa1-gs401-10450a but there are also a 400 and 350 size that represents the front end weight of your car. Take a look at QA1 site to figure out what size you need if you go this direction. Also, if you go this direction, don't forget to buy the spanner wrench as this will make adjustment easier. Hope this helps out.
