Convertible Sound deadening

Hi All, I have a 68 convertible bird that I would like to quiet up a bit. Has anybody used Dynamat or similar product to quiet road noise, engine noise etc? It a stock all original 350 bird. Was wondering if it makes any difference. Plus having no top, it would be louder than normal anyways. Thanks.
