Listen, I didn't mean to be harsh but it seems like everyone would like to think that because their carpet has a different loop to it that it must be a one of one car. The thing is these cars are over 50 years old now and ANYTHING could have been changed. Unless you are the original owner there is no way to say exactly what, or what hasn't, been replaced. Even if you are the original owner( and there are fewer and fewer of those everyday), I know guys that had taken their car into the dealership for warranty work and brought it home with mismatched axles shafts or different things that they had no idea were even swapped out.

I didn't necessarily mean to put you off. Most everyone on this site can be very helpful and even after all these years I'll admit to learning something new nearly everyday. Nothing is out of the realm of possibility.

Don't get all butt hurt over an off hand comment. You gotta have a tougher skin than that if you're going to post on open forums.
