Don't give up. I am going through the same thing with my 69 vert. At least I know almost everything will be new and then my son can sell it when he inherits it, probably a year or so after I finally finish it. Well at least I learned how to weld, so it wasn't a total waste of time and money.
Truthfully, it's been fun. Just don't rush it and don't put a timeframe for completion.
