What year are you working on? I haven't had the wheelhouses out of my car but I have replaced the trunk drop-off. On mine the drop-off does not line up (edge to edge) with the wheel house. I don't recall exactly how much but it was 1/4 to 1/2 inch in (towards the outside of the car) from the wheel house edge. If no one else sends you a pic, let me know and I will try to take a few of mine for you (69 convert.)
