Jim, the Pontica mag article I read refferd to bogus t/a's and oddities. According to what I read, one could order a D80. (As you know, some options came in groups, whereby you could not order just one thing without getting the whole package.)

The D80, however, was an option that could be ordered by itself. One of the core points of the article was warning people that there were D80 cars, and the D80 option did not mean it was a t/a.

You see, this is what's happening now. People are saying that if it's a D80, it's a t/a. According to the article, it isn't so, the reason why it would be nice if someone would thumb through their collection of Pontiac mags. You don't have to go page by page though the mags because it's one of the headlines on the cover. All you would have to do is take a look at the covers. I don't remember the exact wording, but it would jump out if one were looking at the covers for the article.
