Since you're using an aftermarket carburetor anyway, replace the kickdown switch with a (normally open) microswitch. It'll be easier to locate with a custom bracket. Lots of folks would be interested in buying an original kickdown switch for their stock engines. They tend to get lost when people modify their cars, and they are not reproduced.
