Just remember that the drill must be reversible, because you've got to spin the pump counter-clockwise.

I used the same screw-driver approach, but I took the big ol' Craftsman screwdriver (the one that never gets used as a screw driver but as a pry bar, hammer or chisel) and a socket and spun the pump using my reversible electric impact wrench.
