I saw it as well. I kept switching back and forth from the Barrett Jackson auction.
I really liked the fact that they rebuild the existing 400 block instead of just replacing the entire motor. It seems they usually just go with a Chevy crate motor. Hopefully they gave the guy the option to keep any of the old parts that were on the car, since they said it was numbers matching.
As stated already, it was a mild overhaul by Chip Foose standards and was glad to see that. It probably had to do with the fact he had personally owned one in the past. I agree that this is good exposure for the birds'.
I only wish they had done a '68.
I wonder how they calculate taxes for it?
