To Johhny Macs question of it being worth $28,500 if it was a Camaro. As a pretty knowledgeable person when it comes to first gen Camaros and the market for them the answer is absolutely yes. If it was a 69 Camaro Convertible with a 396 non original motor in the condition this car appears to be in... it would go mid thirtys easy. And pretty quickly at that. I kinda disagree that it wouldnt be worth it as well. Way i see it...a car is worth what people are willing to pay. Simple fact right now is people are willing to pay pretty big bucks for first gen Camaros..especially 69s. Why firebirds lag well behind in value is still a mystery to me...despite all the explanations ive heard. Also, in regards to this car. As the old saying goes, "when the top goes down, the price goes up" From what i have seen a convertible automatically adds at least 5 grand to the price of these cars.
