Having done a little measuring on my '69, I would say that the engine is on a line from the center of the rear axle to a point about 2-1/2" to the right of the peak of the beak. The cross-member bolt holes are offset slightly right, and the engine centerline is not parallel to the centerline of the car. At least on my car...
