ALL screws holding that cluster assembly in must be proper metal content and proper length, and ALL installed. Look at the back of the assembly and its pretty obvious why.
Many of you will recall that my gauges, lights, turn signal switches went wacko a few years back after I had removed the cluster for cleaning and repaint. Turned out it was ALL due to one simple screw not making proper ground contact!
