Greg ,what advice do you need? I`ve been driving Volvos for over 35 yrs, just bought a Caddy 4 yrs ago, will go back to Volvo in the spring... probably a C70?
244 Dls are good old iron....I`ve had 142`s 144`s , 145`s, 244`s 242`s,245`s, 740`s,745`s,760``s 780`, pv 544`s,p1800, tp21s, laplanders...you name it...my dad was the one who brought Volvo to the US in 56....
I`ve got friends who are Volvo mechanics....

at 240k its not worn out...of course depends on service etc..but if maintained ,it will go....the record holder is a 2 mil miler p1800

and YES theres a few Swedes in the house....a few more than I...Vikingfirebird,Snowcruiser, just to name 2, plus Hansi, 1/2 Swede (Norwegian..lol)

and EBay sells Greatful Dead stickers , my son has one on his Tahoe!

If you want some fun ,its a great car to take out the 4 cyl, stick a Ford 302 in! and add the Volvo "diesel" emblem to the rear!
