Oh, by the way, the wifes 97 Blazer just blew an intake gasket, sending all the coolant into the valley, and into the oil pan! This had happened over a period of maybe two weeks!
I have no doubt that with conventional oil, there would have been permenent damage... but with the superior protection of the Amsoil I was running, the engine was fine, and there was no evedence of any internal damage.
