The correct base part number stamped on it is 3138. I have one here the handle part number..5325.
The drawback of a used, but correct shifter is that they always require a rebuild. I have owned 3 Firebirds with the correct shifters and they all needed a rebuild due to sloppy or loose shifts. You can buy that new one, which is correct or a used one and have Pete Serio rebuild it.
Is he cheap? NO, is he the best? yes. He is $75 more than other rebuilders but there is nobody else out there that does his quality of work, guaranteed.
