My oldest dog got sicker and sicker. He would either not eat the food or throw it up. Last Thanksgiving Day, after we returned home from visiting relatives, he was nearly comotose. Since it was late and a Holiday we didn't call the vet. I hand fed him some tuna out of a can and he perked up. Since then, I have been cooking him chicken and ground beef. He's doing great now. I had no idea what the problem was until this story hit the news. Luckily, our other dog has a weight problem so we buy special food for her at the vet to keep her weight down.
