The more I read the more I get confused so I have 2 questions.
#1 I have a 326 with a GM HEI Dist. from a 75 Pont. and a 600 CFM Edelbrock carb. Should the vacuum hose from the vacuum control unit on the dist. go to the timed vacuum port on the passenger side of the carb. or to the manifold vacuum port on the drivers side?
#2 the PCV port on the front of the carb. is connected to the PCV valve which is pushed into a rubber grommet in the valley pan in front of the engine. The other hose goes from the valve cover directly into the air cleaner. Is this the correct placement for the PCV valve?
I keep seeing pictures of engines with some sort of splitter with more than one hose coming off of it in the valley pan. I am not interested in originality, but proper crank case ventilation and engine performance.
