David, I think the ignition switch is the same on GM cars and trucks up thru '88 maybe beyond. The only difference is the key code changed every year. So yes you can use your non tilt column switch. That way you won't have the door locks worked on by a locksmith to match a new ignition switch. My cammer came with three keys, what a PITA. So I took my door locks to a locksmith.
