If you own a 68 400 Firebird with last part of serial number 8U171278. I have your original 400 engine.

Just thought I would try to contact original owner before I put it up for sale.

maybe try a phs to find owner? some states keep records of it. maybe JM has a record of the last person who ordered a phs on that car? dunno if its something your willing to look into but i thought i'd say something!
