does anyone repo the axle stops for a 69 firebird? are the rubber bumpers replaceable or are the rubbers moulded to the bracket?need the ones that mount on the rear frames.thanks

I think all the parts houses have them. I bough a set from Classic. They came as an assembly, rubber and bracket, not molded together. Getting that big rubber end through the slot in the braacket would be tough.

I've seen them at D&R also. Dont forget the pinion bumper over the pumpkin when you're ordering them. It is a pain to get into the body, however.

Terry, 69firebirdman, is another excellent source for all your firebird parts. I would like to say if you don't mind used parts, but it's more than clear that all used parts are of much higher qulality than repro. Also, the used condition will be like new because Terry won't sell you junk.

There were probably different designs on these bumper stops, where my originals (rubber part gone) had a rubber bumper part secured by a nut and bold. The aftermarket type I got was quite different from the orignals.

Seen OEM bumpers pass by on Ebay, not very common though.

i got the brackets just need the rubber bumpers.been looking thru my parts catologs (NPD,EARLY BIRDS) and thru online catologs (classic) and can not find them.anyone have a part number.

He usually does. I got a set from him a while back. He blasts them clean too, so they look nice.
