i have a problem vikki i have a set of 66 heads 670 heads and 671 heads i do not want to buy anymore heads.i have been ripped off for motors and other things so i do not trust to many people any more.so im trying to do the best with what i have.im still looking for a set of 96 but i have to get rid of all these parts and motors. You have givin me advise before and you seem to be one of the people that know what they are talking about. so any ideas would be nice Thanks
do you know some one with a set of 96 heads done.at a resonable price .also i have all these heads for sale 670 671 and 66 i was bidding on a set for 520.00 on ebay and missed them.they where complete and ready to go just bolt on.Ps somone you can trust..
96, 7K3 would be great choices. Big intake and exhaust.
1974 4X, 4C would be next as would 1975 5C, 6S. Big intake, small exhaust.
Some of the later 6X heads would work well, they vary in chamber size by codes so you'd have to know exactly what you were getting.
If it's to be a street engine, bolt on the 66s for now if they are in good shape. It'll run on low octane fuel and the 455 will still feel pretty good if you don't overcam it.
Those 96s Banshee had for sale were very good heads.
I can set you up with a set of heads at cost, if you are not picky with numbers I can see if I can find just the right ones for you. My machinist has some in stock and as I just had an engine done I can get a good price. He deals cash up front only.

banshee are these heads complete ready to bolt on.I also sent you a pm asking this question. i also asked for a total with the brackets and shipping.checked my pm i do not see it.Thanks
We have been over the topic on the heads 3 or 4 seperate times over the past 3 months. You also have asked the same questions regarding the condition of the heads as many times and I have responded promptly. Again, the heads are complete but will need a rebuild. For $350, you will not find a servicable set of heads "ready to bolt on". You may, but they are few and far between.
I have been holding onto these heads for 3 months now after you told me you wanted them. I boxed them up and you told me you were sending the money.
I have an extra set of 6X heads that I would part with. They are originals off a 79 TA. They are the best version of 6xers. Perfect for use on a 455. They were rebuilt and then ran for approximately 500 miles. Ready to bolt on heads for $350 if you are interested. I'll be happy to post pictures.
I'd have to pass on them based on the additude factor that comes with them.
I hope you are not talking about me and my 6x's. These are friendly heads with a happy happy seller. And I will bend over backwards to please... Just call me Limbo Jimbo LOL
Will said he was sending the money, I wrapped them up and stuck his name on the FedEx lables. I offered to ship from Canada and save him $70. I have offered him good heads with no inflated shipping.
He said he was sending a MO and I have told 3 other buyers they were sold...tell me if you wouldn't have an attitude. But hey, one man's word is another man's business.
I am not mad at all...Just that when you spend 30 minutes boxing and labeling and passing up money from three others with the promise from another that money is on the way, one would be a little miffed.

The 6X's I have are 6X 4's. They are 92 cc's. Large valves with screw in studs. On a 455 they could give you around 9.6-10 to one compression depending on the pistons you are using. They really are the best thing going for a 455 for street use. These babies barely have carbon build up since the rebuild. Nice heads that were the originals on my 79 TA. They were only available on the highest performance 79 TA's. Great heads for only $350.
The 7k3 should be around 96 cc's. That would give you slightly less compression. Depends on what you want and what you want to spend. Probably going to cost more than the $350 I want for my 'done' ones just to get those redone.
clicked on link banshee nothing there to refresh my memory. im sorry you were in a rush im trying to get the best deal for my dollar.last email i sent i asked you for a total for heads and bracketts pullys and shipping.i do not rememer a total coming back to me pm.anyway if you want to give me a total its up to you. if not i will keep looking Thanks
jim, vikki said 7k3 heads were what was best for his motor.obviosly you know different.it dont matter to me.
It's all in your choices. And it depends on your budget. There's not a lot of difference between these heads, 6X, 7K3 or the ones mentioned earlier. The 6X would give you a few more HP just because of the chambers(slightly smaller). The biggest difference is that some need a rebuild and some do not. They are all great heads.
