Looks like I'll be out of the picture for a short time. My ping has slowed to below dial up. It took almost fifteen minutes just to get to this point. It's chewing a lot time, and I hate to wait. So cya 'till I get this remedied.

The actual download page. This is a good tool to keep on your hard drive, if you lose your internet connection completely (and it's not due to service outage or bad physical connection) this will usually get you back up and running.

After removing certain spyware or certain "speed up my PC" utilities it's necessary to run it as your Windows will lose its TCP/IP configuration. This utility will restore it.

I'm back, but my speed is jumping around. I'm good for the time being, but that may change. My OS is Win 2000, can I run the Winsockxp file to fix the possable problem?

It was written for the XP op system, but could work on 2000. The program itself normally lets you know if it is not compatible.

I'm back "down" to dial-up now at home, and it dropped my cable bill from 100 a month to less than 25 a month.

Well, before I applied the fix the cable co.(WOW) fixed their end. I installed the fix, now I'll have to go put on my sailin' shoes!
