Please forgive me hear i'm still learning. On the 68 400 hood is it possible or do the scoops open. All the hoods i've seen are all closed and I would like to have them open if I deceide to put a 400 hood on my car. Thanks
you can open the scoops up after purchasing them! some have elected to put lights within the housings as well. look in this section for your topic. there are SEVERAL posts on this very subject! one user found out if you take a right angle die grinder with a small sanding pad, you sand it until the ribs on the scoops open up!

you CAN open them....easy...but why? wont "help" any...and you`ll just get water in there if it rains...if you DO have hood insulation ,you will trap moisture...but , yes it "looks" real...but if you expect to get any benefits, none with out ramair set up....which is not cheap, and even then benefits are minimal....but a 400 hood looks great , I went the "cheap" way , just painted the "open" area in mine flat black....from 5' you cant tell if paint or open..
Is there a company that makes the ram air set up? Thanks for the advice guys and I did do alittle mor research and seen some has cut them out "looks cool". I'm really after looks I guess.
yes there is. they make repop pans now! vikki(yellowbird) has the info. in my opinion, perfformance gains are not worth the 1500$ expense! 10 hp for 1500% isnt very economical. you can get better bang for your buck with a 150$ cam swap!
