I have a 68 350 coupe - #'s matching motor. I am looking for some opinions on a fair price to ask for my car. The motor is built, but I have alot of the original parts. The interior is all there (to include seatbelts, am radio, seats, and hurst shifter, but most of it needs to be redone. I do have some new parts, but have not installed. The body is in decent shape. lower quarters and rockers could use aome attention, but other than that pretty solid car. It has the 3 speed hd manual floor shift tranny. This car is PHS documented. Be a critic it won't hurt my feelings. Just want to see where I'm at on my asking price. The car is and has been garaged kept for the last 2+ years. Was a Texas car when I bought it. I'm gonna try and attach some pics, but I'm not to computer friendly. Ask any questions if you want.
I paid $8000 6 yrs ago for my vert., 69, needed maybe more than yours, but looked better, but was not # matching , it WAS a 350 car but had 400 engine...and automatic. Was sold in Wisconsin ,but had been in Texas at least the last 10 yrs then.. see what people think ,take all the $ numbers ,add them up, divide by number of people and you may be close!
why soo much silicone on the upper winsheild lip? this would be a concern to me being a buyer! also you give no pictures of the frame and trunk. this would be a bigger help than a description. these would give those in the know a better idea of your true condition. without pictures and not knowing your area, i'd say $3-5,000. kentucky is a lower income state so i have a feeling im on with the price. i paid 1900$ for mine and it was complete. had a 400 pontiac betweenm the rails as well. not numbers match but still desirable.

due to budget cutbacks, the light at the end of the tunnel has been disconnected for non payment.
Bjorn, your pricing may be a bit dated. A complete rustbucket is not far below your estimate (sometimes more on eBay). Car looks reasonably straight and sound, if undercarriage is clean and no major bodywork needs be done I'd say closer to $8K. Clean steel alone is worth that much. Location doesn't mean much if you sell on the web, only if you sell in your front yard.
If a lot of bodywork has been done or car has issues that don't show in pics, go back down.
Numbers matching is great, but 350 2bbl are not yet in high demand.
As for the windshield, if the glass channel is in fact rotted out that's an issue. If not, just leaky, you might want to scrape that junk out and have the glass reset or replaced. My '68 has the same look, but the glass channels are clean, I think the previous owner installed the glass himself as the seal is not complete.
Vikki 1969 Goldenrod Yellow / black 400 convertible numbers matching
well, it goes with the rest of me... but I was trying to hold back some for unforseen stuff, body looks pretty good, but IF there is quarter issues ,there may be more?
You live and learn ,as I bought mine I thought I`d put $3-5k in it and it would be 6 mo....
16k and 3 yrs later,it was to the point of what I have now pretty much...its never finished ,but got pretty close..
I will take some more pictures of the trunk which has no rust I have already stripped it and repainted. The drop offs are good also the quarters have some rust in the lower behind the tires - and the rockers have some minor spots also. The drivers side floor pan has some at the front, but everything else is solid. I've seen worse - It depends on if you are a motor or body man how bad it looks. LOL - Me I can build a motor, but body work scares the stuff out of me. Thanks to everyone who has posted!
True, one person's interpretation of "needing some attention" can vary from another's.
If rockers have rot, that's an issue. If quarters have rot, that's an issue.
Neither shows on the pics. So good pics would be a necessity.

True, true...personally , if mentioned "needing some attention" re metal parts , in my mind I see bubbles in paint....minor stuff, but usually when you put your attentuiion to these they enlarge themselves into rustholes...thats me, maybe others have different experiences.
But I appreciate someone noting "needs attention" when it doesnt show in the picture!
Joe, you currently at Fort Knox? I'll be up there later this month for the 3rd ESC planning meeting. Would love to look at the bird if still there then.
'68 428 HO M3 Monster, 4-on-the-floor! Need I say more?
no- its just an automatic. Everyone knows automatics are for sissies.
i'm proud to be a sissy.i can afford to have the luxury not to have to push in that stinking clutch and move that little thing up and down.sticks are for chicks
