Hi All, I have an opportunity to get this radio. It was on eBay but did not sell.
I contacted the seller - he still has it and is going to set up a BIN for me.
Can anyone tell me if this "looks" correct for a 69? I was reading the other radio threads and this looks similar to other pics . Thought I'd get your opinions - Thanks! Description
You are bidding on a very clean original AM radio for a 1969 Pontiac Firebird & Trans Am. This may also work for 1967 and 1968 models but please do your homework. The display lens is clear and does not have any cracks. All knobs adjustments move freely and the station preset buttons work with ease. I do not have the knobs for this radio, but they are easily obtained. This radio is suitable for a show car, so bid with confidence.
All radios are bench tested prior to shippment to ensure proper operation.
It looks to be correct to me, the only differnce between the 69 bird radio and the 68-72 GTO body style radios were the push buttons, the bird radio had longer buttons. The radio you show appears to have the longer buttons, however they could be pulled out to mimick the longer buttons. I have a 68-72 GTO radio in mine with the buttons pulled out and it looks fine to me.
Also check this site below, it was posted awhile back.

Thanks for the link I can't see the model number from the pic. I suppose it's stuck on the top. But like you said "it looks correct". Thanks for the help!!! - I wanted a second opinion before I laid out the cash!
HMMmmmm Thanks. The angle of the shots are different but I think it's same?? Mine does not have the plastic face plate, .What do you think?? I bought the radio but it has not arrived yet.
