I'm posting this because I 'bragged' about the Lions beating the Bears the last time they played each other a short time ago. The Bears are favored today. I'm ready to 'take my licks'. So, JimC and gang, bask in your glory or take a 'double lickin'!
Lions & Bears, how 'bout the Cincinnati Bengals (4th place AFC North) vs. the Pittsburgh Steelers (1st AFC North) This game is always an intense rivalry. Loins, Tigers and Bears oh my!
Bears, lots of talent, bad team. Superbowl hangover,,, its tough to watch. The Lions remind me a lot of past teams that were on the cusp of being good,,, they seem to have teams handing games over to them and winning. Its a sign of things to come for DET. They arent there yet, but moving in the right direction. They need to develop some areas before they can seriously start talking about an NFC run. Its good to see the North coming back alive though, it makes for fun/or not so fun Sundays. It not over for the Bears, but its d@mn close. I perosnnaly dont think they can pull themselves together to make a run at the division or wildcard, but I am hopefull.
Im hoping its a good game and that no one really runs away with it. I would love to see both teams play perfect ball and an end of the game type win. I however, just dont think that either side will be to eager to show all their cards in this showing though. Im thinking that both sides will likely hide a bit knowing that they may see each other again down the road. Looking forward to it!
Did you listen to those Favre out takes before the game? He is truely an amazing person perfectly suited to the game of football. They compare him to Elway. No comparison, in my opinion....
Favre vs Elway, now there is a good debate! I would say Favre over Elway just because he was and is more exciting to watch and is more of a highlight reel guy. Im a die hard Bears fan and I cant even say bad things about Mr. Favre. He is the man! Too bad he is on the wrong side of the boarder.
About eight years ago, I saw Deanna Favre drop Brett off at the Green Bay airport. She dropped him off in a Rav-4. He hopped out and walked over to one of the nerdy Packers staffers and picked up the guy's suitcase to carry it for him. The staffer was embarassed. I was heading out that day too and wished Favre good luck as we passed in the parking lot. He was very gracious.
Brett and Deanna Favre are just normal folks who are unaffected by his fame and achievements. I've been proud to cheer for the Pack for the ten years that I've lived here.
