What is suppose to keep the front of the top boot in place on a 68 convertible. I calle PUI, they supply the tops for Classic Industries and they said just tuck it in, doesn'rt work. Any ideas?
we just went over this about two weeks ago, check posts about 15 down..."convertible top boot" posted by Bob S... I took pics of mine for him , if you want I can email you those too.... my email is bsefeldt@mhinc.com ,
but it is supposed to 'tuck in' behind the rear seat back and snap on two snaps at ea. side , abv armrests..then snap over the s.s trim...
I read all the posts, still seems kind of a crappy system to keep the boot from flapping. The first time I had the boot on it stayed fine. My wife put the top up and down (I restored the car for her)and probably didn't get the top folded correctly. In any event a couple of snaps or velcro seem to be in order. Thanks Guys
If you tuck it in right, see my pics I sent , you wont need to add velcro... Just drove mine from a meet sat nite , ( 110 mph ), w that flap tucked in , could not tell....fits like a charm...
