Good mornin,
I am restoring a 67 bird and converting standard bench to a folding rear seat.
How do I know where to put the seat gutter ? Also, there are 2 hooks for the standard backrest to clip on. Dont know if I should eliminate these or they are needed.
I find nothing in the manuals that I have or crash sheets.

Hi Ray, I think we've talked a few times... I was going to look at some doors you had?... Anyway, I know a few guy's in the area that have done a folding rear seat swap, and I'll check with them on this.

I know you'll need the stock side latches that mount to the body, and I believe the center hooks are eliminated. But I'll try to find out for sure for you. Until then, this may give you some good reference:
