i need to know if there's something special you have to do to get the horn button off... my 69 400 is in poor condition with no key, and this is the firts thing to be replaced on it. if someone would help me, i'd appreciate it.
you will need a steering wheel puller and a lock ring puller.if you have no key,you may need to drill a small hole to get access to push the retaining pin in so you can slide the lock out.if you dont know what you are doing, your best bet is a qualified lock smith or a certified auto mechanic do it for you.
Steering wheel pulling kits are readily available at most auto parts places (NAPA, Checker, Autozone, ect.) Make sure you get one for GM cars.
