I've had a leaky trans since I bought the car. Decided to have seals replaced. The seal where the shift linkage attaches still leaks...even worse. The transmission housing is worn...and the seal will not fully seal. Any suggestions?

replace the o-ring on the shift selector shaft. very simple and easy fix. takes about 1/2 hour to do after you drain the pan. few wrenches and its back together in no time.

I`ve had tranny leaks for 6 plus years, had it "fixed" 7 times and last summer I spent over $3000 to rebuild it TWICE!...still leaks...I`ve given up..."they jast leak"....bouht a $9.95 drip pan at Autozone last week....LOL
My muncie 4-speed still seeps a bit, even after a local rebuild. I'm kinda with Bjorn on this one, and usually just lay a "diaper rag" under the tranny when I know she'll sit in the garage for more than a week.

JB weld to the rescue. The nice thing about JB is if you get it right it usually stays for a long time. I've seen block repairs and even weights glued to a flexplate last for 10 years+.
