He was a strong influence on my generation growing up in the 70's. I still have a scar on my chin from going over the handle bars during a jump with my banana bike.

I broke my right foot a few times, both collar-bones, fingers, and even fractured a bit off my lower back..
-Used to ride BMX ,-actually got 6'th place in the '89 worlds -freestyle-street..

Evel was a huge influence after playing with his 'stunt-toys', I was hooked.
Makes me wonder... There´s this short sentence right over Claus´ pic... "Claus Möller, dänischer Kampftrinker, x-up over car". "Dänischer Kampftrinker" would translate to "danish combat guzzler" or "danish battle drinker" so Claus obviously has some dazzling reputation... Claus, you didn´t tell us why you broke your bones that often...
I'll be 39 shortly and growing up in the 70's he was the man! I had all of his toys. RIP

well, now I`m confused...having dinner with Claus in Copenhagen this summer, none of that was evident! no Kampftrinking, nor jumping over things...just some 'power' driving afterwards...lol
I`m impressed!
Danish BMX champ!...I also knew another Dane a few years ago, his name escapes me now, he was part of the Volvo TP21 group, but didnt own one ,he was looking to buy when I had mine, but he was a former Danish Rallye Champion..
Talk of the man with no fear had me thinking of the parody done by Firesign Theatre, Daredemon Reebus Caneebus on Everything You Know Is Wrong! (1974).
I saw Evel do a jump in Tulsa in the early 70's. I think I have it on 8mm film. I need to see if I can find it and convert it to digital. Being in the cycle business the first 25yrs of my life I was a big fan of Evel.
